## Abstract

For two steel rollers with several rubber layers that are pressed together,
a system of equations for the displacement and strain is obtained along the
lines of the classical theory of linear viscoelasticity. The use of computer
algebra for linear algebra and code generation enables us to solve the
equations, even if the number of layers becomes larger.
